▫ 1960 Incorporation of
Alcan Aluminium of Nigeria Limited
▫
1981 Packaging Division was formed to produce Collapsible
Aluminium Tubes in Nigeria.
▫
1987 First Aluminium Company (Nigeria) Limited became part
of the Inlaks Group
▫
1991 The Company took its present name First Aluminium
Nigeria Plc
and became quoted at
the Nigerian Stock Exchange in 1992.
▫
1997 The first Production Line for Laminate Tubes was set up
with a yearly capacity of 18
million tubes.
▫
2000 The second production line for
Plastic Laminate Tubes was put into
operation,
increasing the
capacity to 36 million tubes per year.
▫
2001 The third Production Line for Plastic Laminate Tubes started
production with an addi-
tional yearly capacity of
18 million tubes.
▫
2002 The fourth production line for
Plastic Laminate Tubes was put into operation; the
capacity reached 72
million tubes per year.
▫ 2002 15th March 2002, First Aluminium Packaging Division
proudly achieved the NIS ISO
9002 Certification
▫
2004 The first production line for Seamless Plastic
Tubes was put into operation with a
capacity of 15
million tubes per year, and the new state-of-the-art
cosmetic packaging
from First
Aluminium was introduced to the Nigerian market
▫ 2004 First Aluminium achieved the NIS ISO 9001 2000
Certification
▫ 2005 The 5-stripe insert tube was introduced
to customers allowing coloured stripes on
toothpaste
▫
2005 After starting up the fifth production line for
Plastic Laminate Tubes, First Aluminium
Packaging Division
reached a total yearly capacity of 90 million tubes
